MahoganyBooks is an award-winning Black-owned, family-run, independent bookstore with deep local roots and national recognition. Originally launched as an online retailer, the business expanded through pop-up activations before opening the first physical store in 2017 in the Anacostia community of Washington, and in 2020 DC National Harbor. This will be the store’s third brick & mortar location with two currently open. They also have a retail footprint at Washington National Airport inside The Goods DCA.
